"The hotel, food, staff and interior decor was great, however, we stayed with family and had 2 rooms on the ground floor. Our room was 108 and was fine apart from the tv being sitting too low on a cabinet to watch in bed. The bathroom extractor fan did not work but this did not spoil our stay. Room 109 where my mother stayed had an awful view of what I can only describe as old furniture, chairs bicycles and overgrown vegetation feet away from the window. This was visible due to the 6 foot fence...

"Having stayed previously at The Churchill it was an easy choice to make this year on our annual trip to York. The hotel is a leisurely 10 min stroll to the Minster. We had been allocated a suite as we were staying 3 nights,it was beautiful, spotlessly clean, with toiletries and beverages to make you feel at home. "This is the third time I have stayed at the Ripon Inn this year. The renovation and decoration are excellent. The standard of the public spaces and bedrooms are superb. Breakfast is also excellent. A couple of grumbles, some of the staff need to be smarter and friendly. Also the best offers (inclusion of dinner vouchers included within the price), are straight from their own website, hotels.com don’t match them. "

Perfectly positioned to allow a beautiful walk to the shambles etc. only grumble would be you could hear the usic inside the restaurant from our room which wasnt an issue for me as i can sleep through anything but, it did keep my hisband up.
