"The hotel had a lovely atmosphere with well chosen antique furniture. Staff were both helpful, polite and efficient. Happy to help with a last minute change of booking and also room change to allow us a quieter room on our last night. Breakfast was very good with a great range of cereals and fruit. The homemade fruit yoghurt was a nice surprise Locally sourced food was evident in the cooked breakfast. This is a great hotel handily located close to restaurants and shops."

"Nice 2 night stay. We ate in the restaurant on one evening which was average, I had the steak and ale pie which I really enjoyed however my wife had the vegetable tandoori curry which was very bland and not really a curry. The room was very warm and very clean. "

"We had a lovely weekend at the Pheasant with friends. Our room was really nice, large enough with a massive bathroom (in the main hotel). The food was excellent, some really different items on the menu and breakfast was fresh and quickly delivered. The only reason i have not given 5 stars is they were understaffed.
