"Stayed for 2 nights with my wife. In a comfy room which had been refurbished. The room was compact but unless you were planning to spend a whole day in the room, it was perfect for sleeping and getting ready for the day. We were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who showed us to our room and explained the facilities and was really friendly along with the other staff throughout our stay. Nothing was too much bother and were always willing to help. The room was clean and the bed very comfy and had two fantastic nights sleep. Breakfast was good with quick service. Parking on site and ample. Only a 10 min walk if that to the town itself. Would defo recommend this B&B. "

"Great B&B in a lovely location, 30min walk to Keswick. Beautiful walk to Keswick - take a good torch for nighttime walks to town. the village itself has a nice wee pub and has stunning views. Room was clean with plenty of towels, tea/coffee/milk. Breakfast was fine considering what we paid for our room. lovely breakfast room with efficient and friendly service. Plenty of free parking. We were happy with the lack of interaction with people during checkin - got a security code, then key - very easy. would recommend and will stay again. "

"We stayed in one of the suites, Olive 1, for the night. The room is lovely and very clean. Very nice touch having a jacuzzi bath, steam room and sauna all in the room. Highly recommend staying here. We will be returning. "

"This is such a special place, historic, scenic,homely,warm and welcoming. The garden suite was outstanding and the food quality excellent. The only thing I could possibly complain about was the Guiness as sad as that is. It frustrates me incredibly when I order a branded draught beverage and it comes in a different branded glass. The Guiness was poured in one go whereas the connoisseurs of the black beauty recognise and appreciate it’s a slow patient process leaving mid way to stand for a while. I did not like to inform the extremely pleasant and obliging Italian barman in the error of his ways. Apart from that minor misdemeanor we can’t wait until we return. "

"Stayed for 3 nights with our dog. Food at the pub was nice and we were able to book a table for each night we stayed at the pub for the food. Room was a decent size for what we needed as most the time was spent outside. The room has a bowl for water for the dog, and a towel for them. Tray for boots next to door to put them to stop mud in the room as well. Room cleaned each day and service was great."
