Very good English style full breakfast which is a surprise to us . It locates at the south end of Cotswolds which makes the visit/trip to all villages being efficient . Meanwhile , the rate is much better than the other hotels in the Cortip"

"Great stay in Oxford. The location is a short walk from the city centre and an even shorter walk to the historic Oxford Castle. The staff were very pleasant and helpful any time I had questions. The only downside is occasionally I did get a distant whiff of sewage if the bathroom door was left open. (I blame that on the age of the building.)"

"The hotel in general was very good. Service was excellent. My only criticism is that our room was dark as there was a very high hedge about 4ft from the window. The curtains were actually blackout linings and the adjoining door to another room didn't have a lock but a lump of tissue paper stuffed into a hole where the lock should have been. The location was good. Only 10min walk to park and ride into the centre."

"We had a twin room, beds were clean and reasonably comfortable. Carpet was clean, not sticky! Bathroom was clean, no mould in shower area, shower was adjustable and water warm/hot. Complimentary water along with tea & coffee, which was great as it was a warm weekend that we stayed. Close to city centre, possibly 10 minute walk, very easy."

"Excellent location in a lovely park leafy area surrounded by European style cafes and boutique shops. Parking is safe and secure on the hotel grounds. Kyra and Alex on reception were genuinely welcoming and friendly. There's a lovely relaxing garden bar area with soothing music playing in the back ground. The hotel had a warm homely feel to it. I came away feeling I must come back here again very soon"

Room 11 was just superb But no air conditioning (probably due to the listed status of the building) on one of the hottest days and nights of 2024. 500 yds away from Blenheim Palace gates. "

"Just a one night stopover on route. Hotel is in a lovely position with good close parking. Room was large and well appointed. Overall condition of room was tired and could do with a redecorate. Bathroom had a bath with shower over bath, never ideal but worked ok. Think the 4 star rating is a bit ambitious based on our experience."
