"One of the staff has a really lowed car and leaves late every night and wakes you up no usb sockets for charging quite dated rooms beds are joined so find yourself in the gap if you roll over. "Beds were comfortable and the room was well furnished, clean and pleasant. It would have been nice to have decaffeinated tea bags available, as my partner doesn't drink caffeine. But the big disappointment is having to pay for car parking even overnight. We noted that many car parks in Winchester were free on Sundays. I did know about this prior to booking. Also taking a £50 deposit showed a lack of trust in customers. I think the car parking charges are unpopular with the hotel's customers."

Oak tree near East Tytherley This lone oak tree is on a stony farm track, off the C road between Broughton and East Tytherley, which gently rises to a narrow north-south unwooded enclosure called North Walk. This enclosure gives its name to a group of three cottages just off the road further south and nearer East Tytherley.
