"Really enjoyed our stay – it was very comfortable and felt almost like home. The owners were welcoming, helpful, and thoughtful, even preparing a breakfast for our early departure. The location was great, just a short walk to the town, beach, and supermarket. Bonus: Penelope the cat added some feisty character!"

"This was our first time to Costa Rica. The Hona Beach Hotel was ideal for us. Great location, AC, cleaning service as needed, and breakfast each morning. the property manager, Yeison, was top notch. Friendly, relaxed and upbeat, and always professional. Always attended to our needs and followed through on everything. We highly recommend the hotel."

"We visited the property before check-in to be sure it was OK. It was horrible, with young people just hanging around, some smoking pot, etc. We advised the property manager we would not stay there as quickly as possible via their website."

"The location was excellent and the room was very adequate. Exactly as described. We had a wonderful full breakfast provided to us each morning with coffee and juice, fresh fruit, and a full hot menu. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back the beach here was very nice for walking and watching the sunset but if you want a beautiful swimming beach, not far away is Playa Linda ."

"The hotel notes a caveat about the beach at high tide. The beach is littered with wood debris from the adjacent river such that the beach at high tide limited. And what there is of the beach is gravely."

"This hotel has a great beach location, with walking distance to most necessities. The breakfast had good options and always fresh. I cannot thank the concierge, Jason enough. He helped us out in so many ways. Including recovering lost baggage to booking excursions and transportation whenever we needed it. "
