"The room was spotless and well furnished and comfortable, with great shower, but limited s[ace for toiletries which had to be placed on the floor. With five flights of stairs to negotiate it would prevent a return visit, but staff were helpful with the luggage and the advert warned about this."

"The pub is excellent and the two meals we had really were excellent. That being dinner and breakfast the next morning. The real letdown of the stay was the room itself. The room was a good size and the bedroom was lovely, however the bathroom was full of mould stains and not particularly pleasant. The biggest downfall however was the bed. We stay at a lot of hotels and to say this bed was the most uncomfortable we have ever stayed in is not a understatement. Neither of us slept it was that bad...

Extra touches like bottled water, plenty of tea, coffee and milk and even chocolates on the pillow. Breakfast was excellent and a great choice. Even gave us a discount card to use for a local restaurant we went too."
