"Stayed for one night and was upgraded from a single to double room, which was appreciated. The room was clean with all the facilities needed. As well as tea/coffee making facilities, bottles of sparking water were also provided. The toilet/shower was a bit small but no real problem. The only minor issue was that the room was quite cold in the evening (it was winter) but the bed was warm and comfortable. Breakfast was also good with plenty of choice. "DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE IT IS CLOSED. After a 20 mile day on a walking trip we turned up to find the place closed. On contacting hotels.com they spent 45 minutes trying to find us alternative accomodation and having failed they hung up and never called us back. Left stranded and getting dark we could only find a place 40 miles away available and had to sort transport to and from ourselves which left us £200 out of pocket let alone a massive inconvenience. Hotels.com have still not called us...
