"Nice modern hotel. Area is quiet and away from the crowds in the old city. It’s also cleaner and nicer. The hotel is also steps away from the beach. Room is functional and well decorated and designed. Clean and housekeeping is done everyday at a reasonable time (unlike some other hotels that often has it done late afternoon). Staff is also competent and warm."

"Alma Histórica is a wonderful little hotel in a quiet neighborhood in the old city. Each room is themed and unique. There are restaurants and shopping within walking distance, and there is limited parking on the street. The staff are wonderful and super helpful, and I can’t say enough about them. It’s near the port and the Museo del Carnaval, so if you are there during Carnaval season, you can walk to see the tablados. "

"The hotel listed having a kitchen and bar. The kitchen was limited to offering a mediocre breakfast. The bar was limited to selling one type of beer, no wine nor cocktails. The amenities included a gym. A small, dark room with three aerobic devices does not count as a gym. The staff were helpful and nice. "

"Location convenient but late night concert outdoors across the street til 1:30 am made sleep impossible. Excellent breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful. But property needs maintenance. TV in room did not work, one bedside lamp did not work, AC not effective. Pool deck had broken boards."

"I worst experience ever. I was there mid march 2020, while I was in Uruguay, I find out that within 24 hrs USA was closing the boarders and all flights were cancel due to COVID 19. I was very lucky that America Airlines refunded my ticket and I was able to come back to USA in 24 hrs using COPA Air last flight. The hotel refused to refund 6 night that I didn't use, contacting a mger to explain the situation was impossible, also Expedia contacted them numerous times about the refund with no reply....
