"The hotel was rather quiet and under-used but as there was substantial renovation going on with the gym and spa/pool facilities this was understandable. The hotel staff were among the friendliest I've come across in a long time, nothing was too much for them in making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. My wife and I were seriously impressed."

"On arrival wasnt sure what to expect but place was outstanding and clesn bed very comfortable shower amazing like a wet room design with rain head , lifts avaiable , breakfast amazing only grudge was 10 pound overnight parking charge at bnb hotel but was ok with that from the outcome of our experience "

"Nice enough hotel, the rooms were a little small so probably best to opt for premium if you require bigger room. The room standard was on a par with premier inn apart from bed not quite so comfy. The hotel had a leisure club with pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. All again were small but as it wasn't that busy it was ok. "A nice stay but a few things could’ve been improved. Food was lovely and staff were friendly. However they just don’t have enough staff so the service was really slow. The room wasn’t great for the money we paid either. It was overlooked a bit and next to the kitchen so outside was a bit scruffy. The toilet was broken too and my husband had to fix it. Parking was a bit of an issue too. When we arrived we couldn’t even get a space on the same road. Lovely location though as walkable...

"Quite a nice quiet place but not worth anything like what they charge. There were stains on the bed covers which they came and changed straight away. Breakfast wasn't worth bothering with, hardly anything there on the continental option, we waited a while for drinks that didnt come so we gave up and left."

"Had a great stay in the Broadside room last night. Only issue is that the bed does need replacing - although fairly comfy to sleep on once settled, the mattress has lost all of its springiness and has no support, and makes a terrible racket when turning over in the night and has random springs boinging for no reason. The bed itself also creaks quite badly too. However…..if this gets sorted we will happily stay here again time after time. Every single other aspect of our stay was fantastic-...

"The staff at the Bell were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and it had all the amenities I needed. I especially appreciated the fact that it was possible to block out all light with the window shades. We ate at the restaurant for dinner and that was excellent. "

"Stayed here for a 2 night break. Friendly welcome and a lovely room (The Hayloft). Breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit and cereal to start and a nice home cooked breakfast. Great touch with having a toaster on the table to toast the delicious bread and enjoy the marmalade. Breakfast was efficient with no waiting. Liz and John have a delightful place for a stay."
