"We enjoyed our stay and staff were excellent. Arriving on a Saturday, however, meant parking wasn't as easy as it should have been as it is along the seafront and very busy. Internal doors are noisy also which meant a less than restful night after a 7 hour drive. Breakfasts were good with vegetarian options and we had a nice dinner there on Sunday. Easy walking to the shops in town and other dining options. We would stay again but request a room in a quieter part of the building. "

"We had a nice stay at this hotel; friendly staff, nice food, good sized bedroom and lovely views. We had a standard turret bedroom and whilst it was spacious, the en suite was really small and felt like a shower had been squeezed into a room that used to be a toilet room. There was no space to swing an earwig let alone a cat! The toilet had a cigarette burn on it and the lid on the plastic cistern didn’t fit on the tank. "A very convenient base for the Machynlleth music festival. The house was very clean, all machinery worked fine and my only request would be that the house comes supplied with a few dishwasher tablets, a bit of soap powder, and a washing up brush or cloth."

"Good acomodation booked in with the new property owner Kurt, we were the second transaction made on his hotel account, chap by the bar beat us to no 1 position by a matter of minutes, Kurt had recently bought the Castle Hotel friday the 1st of September was his first day so basically hit the road running!
