"During our 2 week stay so far in Japan, this has been one of our favorites. It is so convenient to the train and bus stops. The staff was wonderful even giving me towels so I could use their foot bath after we had checked out but needing to kill 2 hours before it was time for our train back to Kyoto. We would definitely stay there again. "

"Rooms were larger than normal for Japan. Right next to the train station. Drug Store open late next door. Large shopping mall across the street with a supermarket open 10a to 8p. For the breakfast , dont get there at the stop time as everything is put away. Very few selections and all things that were supposed to be hot were cold. Very low rating for breakfast."

"Enjoyable place to stay. Spa was nice though it was closed the hour before check out, so it was not super convenient. We couldn’t get double beds in the room, which was not ideal for a honeymoon. Still had a good time. "

"Goodness us…. PLEASE treat yourself and stay at least one night in this beautiful traditional hotel with its own onsen! We had a superbly decorated very very very large traditional room (tatamis), a view of the little port and the sea of Japan with sunset…. And we discovered once there that one could book their private onsen! Oh and yes, it’s ‘only’ a 100 years old family hotel…. Don’t forget to check their ‘souvenirs table’ of locally or Japan made goodies to take home. The friendliness and...

"The property is a real gem. A bit dated but don't let that put you off. Great location, amazing traditional breakfast, great little public bath and super nice staff. Just remember to take your shoes off before entering."
