"I read previous reviews of this property and believe that they are, at least inaccurate but many were completely misleading. Our stay was comfortable, staff were extremely polite and helpful throughout. The Buffet Breakfast was of a good standard and the young lady serving it was also polite and helpful. Whoever put the review regarding Asylum Seekers is obviously unaware of Sheffield’s multi-cultural community. On further trips to Sheffield, my family and I will definitely avail ourselves...

"Two nights stop over, needing some place cheap. One of the cheapest rooms in Sheffield for a weekend so you get a small bed in a small room. Room was warm and clean although a bit dated. Shower is directly off the room, no separate changing area. Air con/heater was a bit noisy even when turned off. But for the price, saved over a hundred pounds compared to other budget chains, no real complaints. "

"Just awful 😞 a large empty car park except for one car and a smashed glass bar door covered up with a piece of plywood greeted you when you drove in. It spoke volumes really. We checked in which was pleasant enough by a helpful young man, and checked out again 5 minutes later. Not a good sign when the cleaning team were still cleaning the bedrooms at 4.30pm. "The room was basic, but it was spacious and clean and the price was fair. We appreciated the ample free parking after several nights fighting for (and paying a small fortune for) a parking spot for our rental car. We walked into the cute village of Retford (maybe a mile away) and had a drink and snack at Rondo Lounge which was a neat place. The breakfast at the Best Western was fine for the price and the staff was friendly. I recommend it if you are looking for a safe, clean place to sleep."

Only downside is lack of a lift, but the rooms are clean and updated with modern appliances whilst still maintaining the old-world charm of the original building. I'd stay here again!
