"I have been staying in this hotel for the last 15 months and I can honestly say it is one of the best hotels I've stayed in the UK. Its always very clean and good amenities, the food is delicious, good treadmills with a decent gym but, I do think there does need to be dumbbells up to 20kg and the price of a pint is a bit steep but it is a lovely setting. Special thanks to Corey, Debbie, Liam, Max and Mark for everything they did for me while staying at the hotel and if I am ever back in the area...

"The Devonshire is perfectly located in the hills around Chesterfield. It is spotlessly clean, beautifully appointed rooms with comfy beds and super quiet with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. Dining options in the pub restaurant were vast and the food delicious with a really friendly team. Final bonus - REAL MILK provided in the fridge for proper morning coffee. Cannot recommend enough. "The photo in the review is not the apartment we stopped in. The apartment we stopped in is definitely getting a little tired with a few repairs required however it has everything you want and nothing you don’t need. Would recommend for those transiting through Mansfield. The area (given I grew up there) is one of the better areas of Mansfield and the property is gated so nice and secure."
