"A good central place to stop. Just need usual awareness in city centres. Good facilities but compact space. No tea/coffee facilities in the room but cafes and cheap food places nearby. Good clean hotel. First stay but very enjoyable close to tram station also short walk to the train station. "

"Clean and modern room, plenty of space and good facilities for the price! Only downside was the sound of the nearby M1 motorway, however that is pretty unavoidable in the circumstances, and I would stay again when in the area. "

"Our only complaint is that we booked a double room and paid extra for a third person. On arrival at the hotel we were asked to pay extra again for the third person. We had our booking, confirming the room was for three people, but reception wouldn't accept it. It just felt unfair. "

"This was extremely good value for money. Gluten free food was readily available at breakfast. A lactose allergy was dealt with kindly and very efficiently. I wasn't able to eat much on the evening menu, but though quite a limited menu it seemed to cover most tastes and the food looked good. The bar was open until midnight. "We stayed one night so I could be at the hospital for an op at 7.00am. When checking in Alison on reception was really kind, telling my husband he could go back to the hotel and use their facilities even after check out. She even loaned us her own usb plug overnight so we could charge our devices. We have known the hotel for years, my husband went to King Edward’s school across the road, and I used to stay on business in the 1980’s and 90’s. "This property had bright rooms with colourful accents. The hotel was very clean. So nice to see colour instead of magnolia walls. The rooms were also a good size. Loved the little robots vacuuming on the carpets some days. My granddaughter named them :-) Breakfast was good. All staff were great. The lady with the long blonde hair (I think she was a manager) was very helpful and friendly with visitors and staff which makes a nice change to see a manager not ignoring staff or barking orders. This would be a definite choice next time we are in need of a hotel in this area. . "
