"We had traveled to Victoria for a medical appointment and to celebrate my wife's 80th birthday. We stayed overnight so that we could go out to dinner and relax. We had dinner at the attached "Jade Garden". The highlight of the dinner was when the cute serving robot came over to our table, played "Happy Birthday" and sang to my wife. The meal was first class. I have had Chinese food all over the world including trips to Hong Kong and China. Our meal compared favorably to the best I have experienced. Our room was small, but clean and comfortable. It featured a kitchenette complete with a frig, stove-top, coffeemaker, sink, and microwave. We were given a ground-level room close to the reception area which was convenient because we both have mobility issues. Parking was free and close too the entrance. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. All and all we had an enjoyable stay. "

"We are a retired couple who enjoyed a wonderful 4 night stay at the James Bay Inn Hotel and Suites. Our stay was at the end of January into February. We had a corner room with lots of big windows on the third floor with a comfy king bed. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. The pub & restaurant downstairs were convenient & we found the food very good for a fair price. Service was excellent! It is important to note this beautiful heritage property has characters, history, and has been kept up well. Since it is a heritage property be aware that there are stairs and no elevator. We had no trouble but anyone with issues climbing stairs should ask staff about assistance with luggage if possible or request a room on a lower floor. We found our room cozy even with the cool/colder weather conditions outside and with an extra blanket provided in a dresser drawer in the room. Heating is by radiators. We appreciated that our room had plenty of drawers, hooks, and a spacious bathroom which appeared to have been recently renovated. Lots of hot water and great water pressure! We enjoyed several cups of coffee in the spacious lobby as well as the lemon infused water also available in the lobby. Guests who appreciate a well-cared for heritage property and a friendly welcoming staff, would surely enjoy staying at the James Bay Inn. We hope to return! "

"This hotel was very unique and offered a charming atmosphere! Staff were super kind and accommodating, including leaving us a little treat in our room to celebrate our honeymoon and allowing us to stay in our room a little past check out time as our transportation was delayed! We stayed in the harbour view studio loft and it was beautiful :) 10/10. Breakfast was also great - lots of options and fresh fruit. Also a very walkable location! "
