"I booked this hotel, as it was closest to the venue we were visiting, but unfortunately, the room wasn't cleaned properly. I found a burger style wrapper under the desk area, a red bottle top between bed and side table and a broken arm off some sun glasses on the carpet close to the desk area. I left these on the side for the cleaner to see. There was only one coffee sachet, but reception were able to give me some extra sachets. "Perfect little overnight stop whilst my fiancée and I were journeying from London to the Lakes. Our double room was very clean, well kept and absolutely silent despite the Christmas do that was taking place in the bar downstairs, which made for a peaceful stay. The buffet breakfast, which included a full English spread and plenty of pastries, yogurts and fruits, was plentiful and all very tasty. "we have stayed here regularly but seems to be under new management-didnt expect breakfast to be an extra and room was clean but a bit dingy -headboard had a tear and paint work needed re doing in some areas-plus they did not have all the decorations they used to have which made the place standout-also after we checked in, on late night return to our room car park was full so had to park in residential road nearby-so will probably lookelsewhere now for our repeat visits to family"

"Stayed a couple of time now and staff are always very helpful and friendly, excellent selection of drinks and food very good. Room's are lovely and clean (paintwork etc getting a little bit tiered though) nothing to major and happy to stay again. "
