"The room was very small, but had everything you needed. The front desk staff was excellent, very friendly and genuine. They were great at communicating and helpful when you needed them. The hotel offers a luggage room, where you can drop of your baggage if you arrive before your check-in. It's in a very walkable area with restaurants nearby. Very happy with your stay. "

"Great place as a base when visiting London. Very clean and tidy with attentive staff. Breakfast recommended as plenty of choice and buffet style - full English will cost you £12 locally. Room was big and decor nice and relaxing. Couple of bars on site that were great. Check-in can can be busy but staff manage it well. A good test of service was requesting more tea bags at 10:30 pm - they arrived ten minutes later, better than many more expensive hotels! Was surprised at how good eveything was...

St. James's Church - Stanstead Abbotts, Herts. Sited a mile away from its village, St James’ was the parish church for at least 700 years until St Andrew’s, nearer the centre, replaced it in 1882. Picturesque on its hilltop and largely ignored by the Victorians, it is a marvellously atmospheric church. The building dates from the 12th to the 16th centuries and the 15th century timbered porch is notable. Inside are unusually high Georgian box pews, a three-decker pulpit, texts, hatchments, old glass and monuments of many periods.
