"This property is located in the quieter part of Isla Holbox. We enjoyed being able to walk into downtown while staying in a quiet area. There are a few restaurants around the block, and the beach is a few blocks away. We'd recommend."

"Decent stay for the price. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Clean big rooms. Great location just 5-7 minutes to the center and beach which was probably the best feature for me. The thing I didn’t like is my room was all the way at the end and there was no view of anything at all from the balcony. Also because I was so far that the WiFi did not work at all. I booked last minute and booked the cheapest room though. Overall good value for the money. "

"Staff and service excellent. Low key, environmentally friendly establishment. Our only complaint is the lack of shade or shaded area on the beach. But after exploring other beaches and areas surrounding, it was always comforting to come back to Spirit. Weekends were a bit noisy with other hotels playing music, but Spirit was quiet, especially on weeknights. Amazing to hear water and birds in early morning. "

"We loved the small size of the hotel. It was close to a few restaurants and beach clubs. It had everything we needed. We enjoyed the breakfast at the hotel next door and access to the roof top swimming pool of the hotel next door. You can't compare this hotel to a 5 star resort in Cancun. Its a nice place to sleep, slow down, and unplug! "

"The property is on the far South side of the city. We walked to virtually every other beachside resort and would argue that this is the best (all things considered). The manager Daniel is an honest and welcoming host. He added to our comfort level (our first time traveling in Mexico) and we'd recommend Zombay because of him. He's a good guy and an excellent host.
