"I originally had a different hotel booked but changed to this one at the last minute since it was closer to the city center and I read another review saying how it was very close to a parking garage. It ended up being ideally located, especially its proximity to the parking garage. The exit door from the garage is literally across the street (literally a few steps since it isn't a wide street) from the entrance to the hotel! "Great location and the comfiest of beds! Our room was basic, no tea/coffee or fridge etc but that was fine for us, there was water though. Like others have said, there are areas that are in need of some tidying up but none of it would affect your stay. Breakfast was great, i wasn't expecting much after reading some reviews but it was all fresh and plentiful. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay, we were just there for a night so maybe I'd prefer more room facilities if i was to stay longer."

"Went for a short break with friends. Great hotel. Very local to all Bruges has to offer. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Only thing I would say is that there were no tea/coffee facilities in the room, but cafes were just around the corner. Overall a very lovely hotel."

"Lovely property, nicely decorated. Clean and tidy. Staff friendly and helpful. We had a standard quadruple room. Plenty of room, nice clean bathroom. Good breakfast choice, loved the pastries and the fruit was very nice. Near to the castle. Was very happy."

"On arrival, it was a little confusing to find the location as it is set back from the satellite navigation location on the road. Once hotel was found, it was easy to park in the public car park and not too badly priced per day. The rooms were clean and comfortable enough and the cleaning staff are friendly. Since our holiday was in winter, we can only guess that mosquitoes are living in the air conditioning as we were bitten and mosquitoes were visibly flying around the room. Overall, we had a...

"Carlton was great, so handy to the train station, 20 minute stroll into the old town, staff were so helpful giving some site seeing tips. Certainly value for money and have no issues recommending a stay "

"Good facilities, good size for 6 people supermarket 5 minute walk away. Spa and pool excellent the kids loved it, well equipped kitchen. The only problem was the smoke detectors are very sensitive, there's one on the bathroom which was triggered by steam from the shower and one was set off by spray deodorant, so security show up and say there's a problem and you have to open the balcony door, not ideal in winter. Overall a good stay."
