"Beautiful room very comfortable bed; inviting lobby and restaurant. I was very disappointed that the pool was extremely cloudy. You could not see the bottom and the hot tub was broken. No sign around to inform guests that it was broken. No, the compensation was offered for the inconvenience of all the facilities, not being functional."

"We stayed here before it became the Riverwalk, and it's a much better experience now. The lobby is warm and inviting and reflects the area in its decor and even in the toy campfire kids can play with. Our room was spacious. Nice breakfast."

"For an old Victorian, it was wonderful. Big gap under the door for the adjoining room and there was a snorer that occupied the room. I tried to shove a Towel under the door to close the gap but like most Victorians the walls and doors were thin.. Still loved the property and would recommend it when in Ferndale."

"You can't beat the environment. It's in the middle of the redwoods. Each cabin-like room has big trees close by. The room is cute, like an antique; if this is your type of thing you probably would like it. However, it's quite old. The bathroom tube makes screeching noise (thankfully just for a minute or two) when first using faucet; the heater has a loud noise (dropping of water?) in the middle of night which woke us up. So we decided to turn the heater off -- it wasn't very cold that night,...

"I wanted to take a bath so I got a couple of the Clorox wipes to wipe down the bath tub. The first swipe I did came up with debris and hair. It grossed me out, so I decided to take a shower. The water lapped at my ankles because there was so much hair clogging the drain!! Then I dropped something behind the nightstand and found tons of dust there. Looked clean, but was only clean in the middle. "
