We had dinner at the Hotel Geysir, which turned to be as expensive as a one nights stay in a hotel. $200 is pricey to have to send my fish dinner back to the kitchen because it was cold when it was served. Otherwise, we had a lovely stay....

We had flown in that morning and jumped on the road right away to see the sights of the south coast of Iceland...For our trip, the hotel was in a perfect spot near Skogafoss and just off the main highway. It's a "self-check-in" hotel which was convenient as we had no issues getting into our room after a long day of travel and exploring. The hotel and room were clean, quiet, and cozy. We only stayed one night and had their continental breakfast...
