There was a large stain on the small sofa in our room, there were stains on the hallway carpets, the chairs in the breakfast area were worn and stained, the one elevator was missing the button to push, and the iron we borrowed was unsafe with the plug being broken. It was nice enough to book again but I'd probably look around a bit and see...

"Had an excellent 1 night stay at the Motel One, Royal Exchange. I was greeted on arrival by Ginevra on front desk who is a credit to the hotel. The hotel is in a very convenient location within easy walking distance of many city centre amenities and the rooms are clean and comfortable."

"It was empty in the lead up to Christmas, so breakfast was cooked to order rather than buffet style. Was surprised that guests were put next door to each other rather than spread out so heard the odd bit of corridor noise. We normally stay in the cheapest Premier Inn/Travelodge type hotel when in the area, but enjoyed the lobby space more than I thought and was worth paying that little bit more for. "

"I’ve stayed there on two occasions.A beautiful building and The rooms are spacious. I was especially impressed by the large comfortable beds. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast has some of the best bacon that I’ve eaten. All in all a hotel that I would highly recommend. It’s also better value than a chain hotel. Well worth a visit."
