"We booked for a one night stay, as we were attending our Aunts 80th Birthday party and had to travel a distance. Our room was in the main building and an 'old' room as we had to duck down when entering BUT there was a sign to watch your head AND the room was excellent, very clean and all the makings for tea/coffee and...

"Very impressed. Stayed for 1 night with my 8 year old son as a stopover on the way to Snowdonia. By far the cheapest hotel I could find in the local area, so expectations were low. Impressed though at the hotel, friendly staff at check-in, decent rooms and surprisingly comfy bed! Only downsides - the walls seemed rather thin, the angry man in the next room having an argument with someone on the phone was heard rather clearly(!) and shower lacked much pressure. But all in all, for a cheap night...

"The room was good except that it was very cold, the radiator was turned up high but the room never got warm. The duvet was only Summer weight so we had to use a towel and our coats to try and keep warm. Breakfast was continental and good, but a full English would have been preferred after a cold night! The ladies who served breakfast were lovely. We had dinner in the restaurant which was very good. "
