"Very dated furniture/ decor and a little basic , no hot water insects in the bathroom , However all is forgiven when you step onto the balcony the view was to die for could have sat on that balcony everyday for the rest of my life , truly phenomenal "

"Didn't know what to expect when we booked way back 6 or 7mths ago. It's a shame we only had 2 nights... could easily spend longer. Hotel, is clean and spacious with staff very friendly with nothing being too much trouble. Our room is great, plenty of space, with views from the balcony over the harbour or the small hill to the nearby secret beach. Ideally located for Marissa beach or the whale watching kick of point... both in very easy walking distance. Plenty of restaurants and bars nearby,...

"Very friendly staff and helpful manager. Sri Lankan breakfast was amazing. Room (deluxe) very large and provided extra bed for kids. Short 10 min walk to galle fort. Room very clean and great housekeeping. Pool towels provided. Some minor maintenance issues could do with addressing around pool (tile grouting). "

"Great property right on the beach , in comparison the prices in the hotel / restaurant are higher ( which is to be expected) . Staff was lovely , the hotel could do with some small updates / upgrades. Location is very good, under 10 mins to walk into town. Great place if you are looking for something that not in overcrowded part of Sri Lanka "

"Really nice and clean room but everything else where terrible, dirty and very old. The staff was laying in the few chairs and there were no place else to sit, not even in the small garden. We wantet a quiet vaccation but it was noicy from the mainstreet in front. We decided to leave again after 2 nights even we already paid for more."

"Overall stay was good. However, the bathrooms are visible inside the room. Not recommended for a family to stay inside the room. I kindly suggest to put up curtains or a blurred glass to have privacy. Also, the balconies are connected to each room with a sliding door which is kind of unnecessary i feel. If it can be locked then it's manageable. But in our case the sliding doors could not be locked. The breakfast was superb. Had plenty of varieties. For lunch we had nasi goreng and it was...

"The atmosphere is quiet, and the hotel is located right in front of Galle Old Street. The decor is nice and chic, but the linens and carpets are a bit worn. Breakfast is good."

"This a nice property with staff that tries very hard. Pros- we started with a really nice welcome drink and our room had an awesome view (very small deck) and a very comfy bed with nice pillows. The shower works well and has a lot of hot water. The pool is lovey. Great yoga room and yoga instructor. We went for a massage and that was delightful, the masseuse is wonderful. Pool is great and they have nice pool towels. They provide 2 litres of water a day (plastic) and the breakfast is really...

"Nice small hotel close to the beach, town and bars etc. Nice pool and bar area and food is good (we had to pay extra for breakfast). Ideal for a short break, the hotel arranged turtle swimming for us and can organise many other trips, also Spa on site. We had travelled from Tissa and first impressions here was that Marissa was very touristy and the route to the “secret beach” is a rubbish strewn dirt track, however once we settled in, we enjoyed the area."
