"My girlfriend and I loved our stay there. The breakfast was always adequate and the room was amazing, extremely spacious and comfortable with cable and streaming on both big screens. The kitchen was great too with a central range. We went kayaking and biking and the staff were super accommodating. I felt safe there, just keep in mind it is in the middle of placencia so if you don’t want to immerse yourself in the culture and the people of the strip go to a remote resort. I loved this...

"The setting was beautiful. Our unit was spotlessly clean and had beautiful views. The employees were all very friendly and we had all of our needs met. My only complaint had nothing to do with the resort. The beaches are not clean. It was heartbreaking for me to walk each morning and see the amount of trash mostly plastic on all of the surrounding beaches. Maybe the resort could offer some type of incentive. "There is no sign for the colonial at jaguar reef. The lodge, the colonial, and the almond are all on the same property but there’s only a sign for the lodge. You have to check in and park at the lodge at jaguar reef for these hotels. Very clean, very friendly, beautiful beach set up!"
