"The rooms were very clean and the location was excellent. We were a short walk from the train station and also a nice walk to the Matsumoto Castle. The only negative experience was the free breakfast which was styrofoam dinner trays, individually wrapped croissants and a Japanese style breakfast which we did not find appetising. We did not participate and ate elsewhere."

"MY ROOM WAS SMALL, BUT IT WAD OK FOR ONE NIGHT IN MATSUMOTO. EVERYTHING WAS MAINTAINED WELL BUT NEEDS UPDATE. STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL AND POLITE. BREAKFAST WAS MEDIOCRE BUT WE PAID VERY LOW RATE SO COULD NOT EXPECT GOURME FOOD. WE RECOMMENDED THIS HOTEL."

"We spent two nights at this hotel in a Japanese style room. We found the room comfortable and spacious. I very much enjoyed the public bath in the hotel and visited AM and PM for a relaxing soak. The hotel is a quirky mix of modern and traditional and we appreciated this.We had a wonderful breakfast buffet each morning in the hotel restaurant and the staff was always gelpful and kind.
