"This was a really comfortable room with everything you need for a night or two’s stay. Easy parking and unexpected breakfast included made this really great value for money. The owner was very affable and helpful and we had time to chat. Just a pity that I came the night the restaurant was closed otherwise would have eaten there and cracked a bottle of Torbreck. Town is a 10 minute stroll with a ton of options. "

"Perfect location for an overnight stay when visiting the horse trials. Parking is via the parking eye so details to be entered at reception. Advise booking a table in advance for dinner. Food was lovely, fresh and quick to arrive. "

"I decided, very last minute, to use a hotel as we were celebrating a friend's birthday nearby. I had been given a room on the top floor, but there wasn't a lift and I have a knee problem, so I was swiftly swapped to a ground floor room. The room was excellent value for money. Even though the hotel is only rated 3*, it had an iron and ironing board, tea and coffee, a TV, a safe, free wi-fi, laundry service, and a gorgeously comfortable bed. It was also a nicely quiet room with an excellent level of blackout curtains. I'm not a picky person, but I know that readers of reviews want to know of any downsides; the bathroom had single use plastic cups.... Bring back the glasses!!! I rinsed the one I used and took it home to put in my recycling bin..."
