"Unfortunately due to tight international layovers we missed our first two days in the area, and only stayed one night here. The staff was so accommodating and nice and even tried to look to extend our stay with them (even though we couldn’t because we already had another stay booked elsewhere). "Quiet, beautiful. My kids were able to see agouti, coati, and all sorts of birds from our balcony in the mornings and the staff was very friendly and enthusiastic about teaching them about the animals. One of the restaurants had a great little nature walk below the terrace so the kids had a great time running around while we waited for the food, which was also delicious. "I stayed for 3 nights at Selina and my experience was wonderful! The hotel had a lovely, clean room and the hotel grounds were lush, beautiful and green. Getting around by foot is a bit difficult given how remote the hotel is but you are across the street from a shuttle that can take you directly to the cloud forest, the hotel has a transit stop outside of it and the hotel can provide you with a reliable, safe ride share option. "This was such a cute place to stay and one of my favorites of our 10 day trip. The breakfast is yummy and the view from the breakfast is so beautiful. While we were eating, a monkey came up to us along with some birds. You can also spend some time bird watching which was beautiful. The actual room is nice and spacious, great for a big group of people or even just for two like us. We had a kitchen and a cute balcony. The staff is very pleasant and gave great recoomendations. "The hotel is just off one of the main roads, not far out of town center. It is not new, but it is clean, quiet and felt safe. We enjoyed two rooms with a small foyer area and a shared bathroom in the center. We also used the public space outside of our room. We sat in the hallway (pictured in the photos) and looked out at the (for us) exotic birds visiting outside. Breakfast was included, provided at the neighboring cafe, with a choice of either eggs and toast with fruit or pancakes with fruit....

"We arrived much too early but they were able and happy to accommodate us early and on top of that we were given an upgrade as Expedia VIP guests to their best rooms. This was the loveliest hotel that we've ever stayed in. Wonderful views to the Pacific, luxurious room and amenities, a hummingbird singing in the tree outside and to top it all off we had a private plunge pool with hot water warm enough to ease all the aches and pains of a long hike through the Agouti Reserve adjoining the hotel....
