Vilas Insight Hotel Machupicchu

3.0 star property
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (54)
"This is a little gem. Family run, basic, clean comfortable and perfect location ( minutes from the ticket office, bus and train!) for visiting Machu Pichu. The entrance can seem a bit off putting but once you walk through the door it is perfectly fine. Such a nice and accommodating staff and their willingness to make me scrambled eggs without question was very kind! Quinoa pancakes were also a nice touch. Would highly recommend this hotel for Machu Pichu… great Value for money! And don’t forget...

"We enjoyed our stay here. Relative to the other hotels around, I thought this was a very comfortable stay. Jorge was really helpful and coordinated safe and flexible transport. Bed was comfortable and room was nice. Few notes: 1. Walls are pretty thin, but overall pretty quiet 2. WiFi is incredibly slow, we just used cellular more often than not"

Sol Ollantay Exclusive Hotel

3.5 star property
8.4 out of 10, Very Good, (66)
"Just a nice, clean, very convenient property. Some rooms come with a balcony, some do not. The rooms were clean and comfortable albeit with a few ants in the bathroom. However, you're in a hotel in a village on the side of the mountains so a few ants shouldn't bother you. The breakfast (included) was tasty and fruits/veggies were fresh and tasty. My only negative comment would be the runny scrambled eggs (but that's a personal thing! :-) ) If you're looking for luxury hotel, this is not it;...

Refugio Andino

3.0 star property
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (7)
"Great value and location. We had a few hiccups but mostly circumstancial. We stayed for two nights. Our first night was terrible due to a cat being stuck inside the hallway and crying for 4 hours. When we finally got to sleep, we were woken up an hour later by the construction right outside our window. Thankfully, the manager let us change rooms a little further away from the noise, but sadly, we didn't have the energy to do much the rest of the day. Breakfast was a short window (2 hours) and...
