Green Nature Machu Picchu

3.0 star property
6.0 out of 10, (89)
"This hotel does not exist! We went to the address and we found a hotel called Adventure House. We were a group of 7 people ( 3 kids); we had booked and paid two rooms one month before arrival. The hotel staff tried to lie to us by sending us off somewhere else. Eventually they confessed that this USED TO BE Green Nature hotel but the previous owner took off! We got the tourist police in Aguas Calientes involved as well! A total mess! Long story short- stay away from Green Nature OR...

"The view was amazing from our room. They charged me $40 dollars for a late check out. We had 2 rooms. They said that we needed to pay for both rooms. Because if we payed for one room. only 2 people would be able to go in the room. We booked with Expedia. It said free breakfast included. They also charged us for breakfast at the hotel. "

"Owner had left note on door to call when we arrived. Used payphone which took some time but finally worked. Owner was there within 15 mins. Older building but clean. Owner was very friendly. $10 soles taxi to airport. $6 soles to San Pedro market. Begin to downpour when we arrived so we where unable to walk around and see the historical sites. Our flight was moved up so only slept a few hours at hotel."

Hostal La Payacha

3.0 star property
7.8 out of 10, Good, (224)
"Irma was the best!!! Since my wife and I got there she made us feel so comfortable. It's not a 5 star hotel but the attention to ensure that you're comfortable beats any 5 star hotel. We visited in late October so did not experience the mosquitos from other reviews. What we did experience was the view and the sound of the water flowing in the river. Some people pay to have this sound when falling asleep. The breakfast, the coffee, the assistance on where to go eat, the convenience, even...
