"A great hotel with an excellent breakfast, it's the perfect place to stay if you want to explore the mountains/nature in the area. The bar and restaurant below are great as well especially in winter. The room was very clean, quiet and well stocked. Great staff too, would definitely book this hotel again next time we visit the area. "

"The property was not only located in the most convenient location imaginable (I was working in the castle, which is literally just across the road!), but the hotel is very nice in itself. The room I was in was small, but not in a bad way. I had space for everything I needed, the phone signal and WiFi were strong, the bed was comfortable, there were even complimentary biscuits! "I was due to stay one night but as a result of train cancellations extended for a further two nights. The location of the hotel is great, easy access to the promenade, high street and railway station. It's clear there are improvements underway to the accommodation and communal areas. The room I stayed in was basic, the bathroom dated, but clean. The staff at the hotel couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good. Overall, excellent value for money."
