"Horrendous, most things broken or not working Why can't I post pictures of this? I need a full or partial refund, shower wasn't working, dirty,broken tiles paint and dirt on the bathroom door,paperthin walls which resulted in listening to our 'neighbours ' nocturnal activities, arguing, slamming doors "

"We stumled across this hotel by accident but what a find. Set in a very picturesque location the hotel is quite charming. There are many positives which include the rooms, the food dinner and breakfast, the staff (who were just superb) and the owner who was only to happy to chat about the hotel and its history. This is a great place to go and unwind and all four of us who visited just loved it."

"The hotel exceeded our expectations, we didn't expect 4-5 star service from the budget hotel with such low price, and we read through the previous reviews, so we really expected an old traditional place rather than modern network hotels. However it was better than in the reviews. The hosts are very kind and helpful, the breakfasts and dinners were excellent. It's incredible how 1 woman can cook so many delicious meals for guests. The owners are such hardworking people! The room was very clean....

"OMG I am amazed that this place wasn't better frequented when i stayed last night. The rooms are well furnished, clean and very comfortable. The bar area is nicely decorated and the food was delicious, it was curry night yum! The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again. "Mill Lodge is located in a quiet side street with pubs and food shopping nearby. Our compact accommodation was very clean, cosy, comfortable and had all we needed, with a generous supply of teas, coffee and Welsh cakes in the room. At breakfast, there was a wide choice of quality ingredients to choose from, carefully prepared and presented in impeccable style. A nice touch was the freshly squeezed orange juice. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. "

"Really cosy and gorgeous little cottage! Bedroom was really comfy, ceiling a little low in parts if you’re 6.4’ and above! Breakfast was a nice easy fix. The view was excellent and the shared gardens were peaceful. Lawrence was helpful and welcoming."

"Another great stay at The Bear. I love it because it has a lot of character and it’s interesting. The rooms and nice and comfortable and the restaurant serves really delicious food (I had the beef short rib). It’s also really conveniently located in Crickhowell with most other interesting places within walking distance. Lastly, all the staff I spoke to were really friendly and accommodating. Definitely worth a visit. "
