They actually cared, they all greeted us and wanted to make sure we were okay every time. "Not much to do around the area and there are rumors of it being in a not so good area of Santiago. I would challenge that claim since I walled all over the place even at dark without feeling any kind of threat. There is a very excellent Chinese restaurant next door which I highly recommend. As a Dominican raised abroad I chose this hotel for its historical value. As a tourist you'll be charmed by the decor and the charming staff. My breakfast was cold two days in a row and the stay was over...
