"My sister and I had a really lovely stay at the Glenburn Hotel over the weekend and it was fabulous to see it open again after the new owners re-opened it earlier this year. A truly iconic hotel with lots of character, stunning views over the harbour, lots of history, and much to offer. "If you are expecting 5* luxury then this might not be the place for you. However if just a quick stopover it’s not too bad at all. The rooms are functional and I personally found the bed very comfortable. This is a basic room at a value price, if you are paying for a cheap room, then expect a cheap room. Personally it was fine both price wise and comfort wise and for an overnight stay I would use again. "

However the TV had no signal and although there was a telephone there was nothing to plug it into. We complained and they moved us to a lovely family room. "Avril offered us a real bed and breakfast experience, meaning we felt like we were invited to stay the night in her home. We had a long interesting chat in the morning. If people want more of a "quick-and-easy" hotel experience, perhaps this is not the place for you. The room was beautiful with view on the sea, the house was very nice: we felt like the time had stopped for a bit which is exactly what we were looking for.
