"Unique hotel experience!! Who would have thought to bring a brilliant take on Americana culture to The Isle of Bute!! Very imaginatively curated, beyond quirky. Clean and comfortable room. Unfortunately they seemed very short staffed during our stay. They could perhaps do with importing a bit of the American service ethos to improve the customer experience. Have a nice day y’all!"

"Very easy instructions to get in using the key safe box in the porch. A choice of breakfasts that is sent before you arrive you just had to let Heather have by 8.30 the night before by txting on WhatsApp very easy. Lovely clean room with shower, loo and tv. Great WiFi. Breakfast was delicious and I had different options and Heather kindly stocked up the milks tea and coffee as I was there for 5 days. Quiet area within walking distance of the train station 10 mins max and a lovely marina across...

"Lodge room was very comfortable, clean. Bit of a walk to get to restaurant from it if you want to have a drink first or have mobility issues. But top marks to hotel reception they organised a pick up from room & back when finished by a very pleasant & helpful young man called Pete. Only issue was my steak at dinner, it wasn't good & don't think it was rump either as said on menu Other than that food very good"

"After my friends came down with sickness and couldn’t host us anymore I was worried about a backup plan the day off on a busy weekend. The Woodhouse was available at a fair price! "We had a twin room with a view of the sea and it was clean enough. There was black mould on the window frame. However the TV had no signal and although there was a telephone there was nothing to plug it into. We complained and they moved us to a lovely family room.
