"Stayed for my husbands 30th. They made a cake our of towels for him and we got a box of chocolates in our room. Great for going into York and other places around it. Nice and quiet, really comfy beds. "

They were all friendly and polite. "

"Booked this as a stop over whilst attending an event at Sheffield arena. The hotel seems to be undergoing a rolling restoration which was documented in the booking info, the room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed however we where on the main road side and there is a lot of road noise which the double glazing doesnt seem to block out. Breakfast was ok but the service was poor there arent enough tables for the amount of guests at the hotel and there seemed to be one young man...

"The hotel use to be a police station,so the building has lots of character. It is lacking in chef so the breakfast was limited however adequate. The room was nice and the bed was comfy even if outdated. "

"The staff were helpful at check-in. I had a double room. The bed was comfortable. Each guest got a biscuit and square of chocolate. There was a selection of teas, coffee bags and hot chocolate. There was an iron and ironing board in the wardrobe. The room was very warm. There was an issue with the cleaning. There was hair in the bath and the wall mirror in the bedroom was dirty. The curtains were dirty. I used the pedal bin in the bathroom and the lid fell off missing my foot. The pedal bin lid...
