"Stayed one night at this Shukubo. The place was beautiful - temple, garden, room, surrounding area. My husband is a Vegan, so he was very happy with the meal. However, I found it to be a little dissapointing. Shukubo evolved during the past 20 years, and now catered to foreign visitors. The meal was all vegan, but not the old fashioned Shoshin food, they were too modern and too catered to foregners. The morning service was also modified to suit foreigners. The place has lost its...

"Last minute idea to stay at a Temple while in Osaka, paid high price for a room for 4 people over 2000$ for 1 night vegetarian meals included. Overall it was a different, unique experience, no regrets."
