"The Tapoco Lodge is absolutely beautiful and the staff was amazing. The cabin we stayed in felt like everything was antique but somehow still new. My only complaint was that Expedia allowed me to book it as a pet-friendly room when the actual room I chose wasn’t pet-friendly. The Tapoco honored the reservation anyway and took care of us. They were terrific. My wife is already asking if we can stay here again. "

"I am obsessed with the property and the bus! My husband and I stayed for a night with our three toddlers while taking a night off from section hiking the AT. We all slept in the king bed in the back which was INSANELY comfortable. The hosts are a super sweet little family. Our laundry was done for a small fee very quickly. "Out of the way and off the grid property. The road in and out is single lane, be prepared to back out if need be. Lots of twists and turns, if you’re one to get car sick be prepared. But once there it’s a quaint, quiet studio like place with nice little deck to sit on and enjoy the tranquility of the area. No cell, no web service. Just you and your partner, or as it was me and my girl. "

"This was the first time we had been to the Bryson city side of the Smokies, and we throughly enjoyed both the area in general and our stay at Grinders Switch. The cabin was clean, well-stocked, and comfortable, the yard was wonderful with the fire pit and great night skies, and we enjoyed the porches! We spent time on the two main trails on the property as well as in Deep Creek in the national park and loved our time. Ask was convenient to get lunch at Rivers End and walk around at Nantahala...
