Great cabin - Easy to recommend
Everything was as expected, except for the floors. Seems the cleaning crew suffered an oversight and failed to clean the floors before our arrival. Owner was very responsive and got the crew back out there the same day I reported. They finished before we returned for the day. A testament to the host.

Peaceful and private yet convenient to many highlights of the Smokies!
My wife and I had a great fall week in the mountains at the Hideout. The cabin was clean, peaceful, relaxing, and had everything we needed to use as a home base for a week of hiking, dining, and taking in all the "peaceful side" of GSMNP has to offer. We wore ourselves out hiking in the park during the day, and returned each night for peaceful recharging for the next day. Reservation and check-in process was a breeze, communication with the host was timely and on point all throughout the process. Thanks for allowing us to use your wonderful property for the week!

A fantastic hideout!
The home feels like a minimalist Frank Lloyd Wright. Everything is perfectly functional without any unnecessary extravagance. The light is excellent (as the windows face East) and the porch is the best feature. We spent countless hours outside, reading, working, playing corn hole, in the hot tub, or just relaxing with a glass of wine. Truly an excellent retreat from the grind of life. Would visit again!

Comfortable
My husband I spent our 1 year anniversary at this cabin. We had a wonderful time. It’s SUPER CLEAN!!! That’s always a big issue for me. The cabin is a welcome change from the plaid and black bear decorations you see in most cabins. The hot tub and fire pit made our stay even more tranquil.Alex the host responds almost immediately to questions and concerns. Definitely would stay again.

Uniquely Tranquil, Peacful, Airy
Its been years since I've been to the smokies & I've stayed in several different cabins but always in and around Townsend because I love that area. This cabin was a treasure find and has a wonderful zen vibe!! It is open, airy, lots of windows, simplistic but at the same time cozy and comfortable. Bed is comfy as well! It is the best cabin i have ever stayed in. Owners are attentive and quick to respond to any and all questions. This cabin is tucked up on a mountain so the roads are windy, uphill, and narrow but it just adds to the charm if you ask me. It is still conveniently located, closer to Townsend but easy drive to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We had a great mother/daughter trip of cooking some, crafting some, shopping some, take out some, hiking to different falls, hot tub every day with yoga on the back porch. Also had a bear visit while "trying" to fix smores! I would love to come back and enjoy this cabin again!

Peaceful retreat
A nice, newly built place to "hideout." It has a miniamalist approach which is a welcome break from some of the over decorated places we've stayed. Ikea is the name of the game here. You definitely feel like you walked into a Swedish villa. A light wooden feel throughout. You could sleep 7 here, but 4 is comfortable. Of note, you can watch the tame bears from the hottub! One to remember, We would rent again!

Beautiful cabin with a Scandinavian vibe
This property isn't your typical cabin covered in wooden bears and chainsaw art. It has a very contemporary feel which is a welcome change. We love going to this area once a year and really enjoyed the different style. Internet is fast if you need to keep in touch with work. That was a concern of mine but it's not an issue anymore. We really enjoyed our stay and will likely look at this property again in the future. The owners were super nice as well which always makes the visit that much nicer.

Modern cabin perfection
The Scandinavian Hideout was a great modern take on a mountain cabin that fit us perfectly. The cabin met all of our needs and provided a great experience and location in the middle of the tourist areas and the “peaceful side” of the valley. Highly recommended for a couple or small family to set up base camp while exploring all the area has to offer.
