"This would actually be a review of the Morangie Hotel in Tain. We were informed just a few weeks before our trip that they have repairs that needed to be done in the Mansfield hotel and that they transferred us to another hotel without an offer of a refund. The Morangie Hotel was a nice looking manor and had lovely stag head and Jacobite sword memerobilia. However shrouded in tacky halloween decorations and buckets laid about to catch leaks around the hotel. It wasn’t the stay we were expecting....

The room was clean and comfortable, with a beautiful view from the window and breakfast was delicious and very filling. "Lovely location in the woods, just a short drive of the A9. Perfect to explore the north of Scotland. Close to Golspie, Dornoch and the Black Isle over the Firth. Located on the NC500. Need to go back to explore further North, Wick, Thurso and the 100 miles to John O' Groats. The breakfasts were delicious. The Terrace room was spacious and our hosts were excellent."

"This cottage is large, clean, reasonably modern and represents very good value for money. Communication with the host was good. The deposit seemed high and the list of rules can seem overbearing at times but i appreciate you have to cater for all guests. It was easy to locate and provided a gresr base for our hill walking. There is off street parking to the rear. I feel the communal areas are limited and you would not book here if you plan on staying indoors alot. If you are sensitive to...
