"We had a wonderful stay here. For the price point, it is extremely accommodating and very comfortable. Clean rooms, amazingly kind service, and a great location. Victor at the front desk, Martha and Enrique in service, and Teresa and Karen in the kitchen were all amazing! The free breakfast is hand cooked to order, the bed is comfortable, and the location at a hole is very clean and nice. If you’re looking for a place close to the city that’s affordable and accommodating, this is it."

"I always enjoy my stays at Portonovo. This was my 5th time and I was treated so well I will return again. The breakfast is included and what a variety! Tasty food and great service. I love the location, two blocks from the north end of the Malecon, across the street from the beach and in the middle of all the little shops. Perfect for me. "

"We enjoyed our stay here. The place looks like traditional Mexico. The view was amazing! The air blowing through the open windows was refreshing and it always felt great no matter what the temp outside. Walking up the hill at first was a workout but you find ways around the back and down the road into much easier. There is no ac and you won’t need it here as the wall of window opens up and air blows all day. If you want the traditional look and good people serving you then this is your spot! On another note they have El Panorama restaurant up top and the view there is magical. Get some good food and enjoy the view of Puerto Vallarta! "
