"Fantastic view. Lovely pool with view. Restaurant had a view, was convenient for free buffet breakfast. We also had a fabulous dinner. Room was cosy. Morning wake up by Howler monkeys in the valley."

"This property is large and beautiful! Well taken care of! The pool is wonderful too! Great place to stay with the family or as a couple. Only note is if you stay in a villa, request one a few up the hill. Unless you are there for the party and to stay up late. The music sounds great, just goes late."

"I had a really nice stay here. The room was clean and secure, the wifi, air conditioning, shower, all worked great. The staff was super- friendly and helpful. They were patient with my awful Spanish and were able to switch to English when needed. Even the restaurant had good food. Not a luxery resort, but perfectably servicable at a good price. Puntarenas isn't the "nicest" town per se but it is interesting and authentic and this hotel is very good."

"Fabulous location and beautiful grounds! Walking distance to excellent restaurants, grocery and right on prime area of the beach. Food is fantastic and all staff were all wonderful and helpful. Beware of the "standard garden rooms". They are right on road--no protection from street noise:( Bathrooms are dated, but rooms in general are comfortable. Good place to stay."

"Very nice and cool old hotel. Great view from balconies of ocean, nice clean pool and rec. area. Friendly informative staff. Very good breakfast. Very nice walk in front to nice restaurants. large room, had a room with no windows and it was still OK. Would advise trying to get a room facing the ocean if you are spending time in the room. "

A big thank you to Andre and Antonio for getting us settled. "This place is great as long as you really read the reviews and set expectations. Very clean room, great pillows, comfy bed and good showers! This totally worked for us because we had a car and could easily go eat and get around town. If you’re there in the dry season the roads out front are dirt and dust kicks up everywhere so walking isn’t ideal. Plus it’s a hike to town - solid 20 min walk. "This was a great place to stay. Based on reviews we booked a room with a window overlooking the town which I really recommend. The hotel is really convenient and the restaurant was great. You also can use the facilities at a nearby resort (Ylang Ylang, which is lovely) a nice 10 minute walk along the beach from montezuma town. The hotel staff was also really friendly and helpful. It was a great choice. "

"Love Selina santa teresa south! The pool is so clean and beautiful and they clean the rooms if you want. They upgraded us to a private room but I’ve stayed in the shared bunks and it was very nice and clean too. The people here are super nice and friendly. Also monkeys. Lots of monkeys. "
