"Lovely room with a view of the river. Beautiful decor and the radio was much appreciated. Friendly hotel staff both at check in and at the bar. Room was warm and cosy and felt homely. Only downside was a few housekeeping issues but they did not affect our stay and the room was clean otherwise. Also the car parking situation which we were aware of prior to booking is something to consider if your not happy walking from an alternative car park. Looking forward to staying at the Tudor again soon."

"Fair place to stay. I had room #6 and had just about the worst nights sleep I’ve had for ages. About every 20 minutes, some water would flow (I suspect the automated flush to the gents urinals) and the noise in the room was awful. During the day you may not notice it but at night it was awful. No one to really report it to so doing it now. Breakfast was great. Would stay again in a different room. Cheap but you get what you pay for I guess"

"A quaint old Manor House. You would want to go here for the quietness and character. I would suggest a perfect wedding location - hiring the while property and its 14 bespoke rooms. We stayed in December purely to go to a local family event and was perfect for that but in summer would be lovely for a wedding with a marquee in the gardens to cater for a much larger guest list. "

"Our rooms were very clean,comfortable and quiet. The bar was very lively with good food and excellent service. The breakfast was very good and quick service. We will definitely use again."

"A delightful place. The staff are friendly and helpful and the bedroom was comfortable. The public rooms are tastefully decorated and well-furnished. There is an overall feeling of guests being welcome and care being taken to make their stay pleasant. Highly recommended."

"Lovely old inn loads of character. Rooms are basic but clean and the bathroom was epically large. Bar food good and a few different options. Couldn't be easier for the town centre and train and the staff were helpful and friendly "
