"The hotel itself was very inviting & all the staff seemed very happy in their work. We received a friendly welcome on arrival. The room was large well decorated & very clean. We would normally have a kingsize bed, but a double was fine & it was quite comfortable. Breakfast was a bit disappointing, We arrived at 9am & no hash browns available and the bacon was so hard it was inedible also no mushrooms, I decided to have beans on toast...however we would probably stay again!"

"All good. Nice cooked breakfast cereals. No availability of the limited on-site parking but there was plenty within a stones throw away at the parking lot next to the police station. Note... this parking lot is free overnight and currently free during the day despite the sign saying it's limited to 4 hours unless you pay £2... check with reception for your stay. "

"Good location. Tiny but sufficient for a nights stay. Good area with lots of eateries nearby. Shame there was no parking but we managed to find a spot on JustPark in a walkable distance. "

"Was a bit confused to get the keys from the pub but eventually we get it sorted quickly. Staff was very friendly and room was perfect for our needs. Car park was opposite the room so could even keep an eye on my car overnight. Parking was free on the weekend."

"The room was nice and cosy, with lovely fireplace character. The sheets and towels were crispy clean and ironed. The private bathroom was great with warm tile floor as well. My remarks - one of the steps leading to the bathroom had a torn off carpet, so it was sliding. There was a little bit of dust here and there. Other than these, my stay at The Stag was very enjoyable. "
