"The family that run the hotel make the experience they are really helpful and accommodating. Helped us book Halong Bay tour and our bus back to Hanoi. Spoke good English which is helpful. Rooms were a little dated but were comfortable and a decent size. For the price you can not fault this hotel. Would recommend. "

"Great service the people there are amazing organised my cruise, my bus and when i stupidly left my passport there they sent it to me on a bus so i wouldn’t miss my flight. I’ve traveled for three weeks in Vietnam and this is by far the best! Would recommend and if I go back to Ha long bay I will always choose to stay here! "

"I had a very excellent stay at the BBQ Hostel, Ms. Dinh helped me a lot with the travel/transportation and trip arrangements. Many thanks for the great support. I’m just wondering why the BBQ Hostel got only 2* in Hotels.com? The interior is new and modern and I had my own bathroom for an affordable price. There are still some construction ongoing in the area but it didn’t bother me at all. I will definitely come back if near by."

"We didn't found the accommodation it wasn't on the Adresse where they said. We were there around 18.00 but the phone number that we found wasn't right a old employer how worked there. In the and we booked a other Hotel."

"No good, old buiding, rude and sly manager, he lied about the occupancy of the hotel only bevause wanted to cash more money for national holiday in haphong city so wanted me to delete my booking,but i could not because i paid in advance. "The criuise we are on is the Amanda Deluxe Cruise. The Good - the staffs are friendly and always served with a smile. I'd like to praise our tour manager Ariel specially for her professionalism. She lost her cellphone while trying to keep guest from falling off the bamboo boat. "Trip from the wharf on the tender (boat big enough to fit 40 or so people) took about 40 minutes to get out to the boat moored out in Halong Bay. Had set menu lunch and dinner tasting menu food was good. Room was comfortable and air conditioning worked well. Bathroom nice with porthole window in the shower. "Bamboo Hotel wurde verkauft - Eigentümerwechsel! Expedia hat auf Beschwerde vor Ort bis heute nicht reagiert! Weder auf Telefon noch per Mail erreichbar. Haben dann nur 1 statt 4 Nächte in katastrophalem Hotel verbringen müssen - abgerechnet wurden natürlich 4 Nächte... Vielen Dank für Nichts!! Nie wieder Expedia!!"
