"Nice friendly pub. Room was basic but clean with a kettle and plenty of tea and coffee. Breakfast was a bit disorganised as there was no menu as such and it was difficult to find out what was available. Good if you like a full English breakfast but otherwise poor. "

"There's no doubt that The Boat Inn is a lovely, traditional pub in a super location, right on the banks of the Wye with good views of the river from the bedrooms above the pub. The surroundings are wooded and distinctly bosky, which is nice. There is a small village (Redbrook) with a village shop a few hundred metres away across an old railway bridge. I had a double room with shared facilities, very poor accessible shower. Room was clean and fine for my needs. "Wonderful hostel set in a great oit of the way location. Only major issue is the poor condition of the access road to the propery which is not mentioned anywhere. Take it slow and steady and you'll still ground out the car in a normal car on the pot holes and ruts. I would not even attempt it in a car with lower ground clearance like a MX5 ect as you could cause major damage to your vehicle. This is a real shame as it wouldn't take alot of effort to atleast repair the worst of the pot holes...
