"Clean and tidy room with private bathroom and shower. One double and one single bed. A shared kitchen which had full amenities although I did not use these. A warm fire place in the shared lounge which another nice room guest added in more firewood which the warmth flowed into the dining/kitchen area. If you are looking for a simple, fuss free room for an overnight/long stay, can't go wrong here. Under 10mins drive into the city/beach/Mt Maunganui. "

"Such a cool motel. I didn’t realise when I booked that it is Japanese themed, so the decor was a real novelty. We had a 2 bedroom family unit and it was perfect with a huge outdoor area too. I really appreciated that there were loads of hooks and rails for towels and clothes in the bathroom, as that was something lacking in other places we stayed on our holiday. "Set in lovely quiet gardens with an avocado orchard you can walk around. The room was spacious spacious and very clean. Rupert even got a desk and chair for me to work on my laptop. Lovely place and hosts would love to come back. "

"Quiet, rural-ish, pretty gardens and close to natural walks and beach."

"The facility had mould behind the curtains, was dated and dirty. There were toys over the driveway, empty alcohol boxes and we ended up not being able to stay because of the state of the room. We were charged over $400 for the one night and was told we have to go to Expedia to get a refund. Very disappointed! "
