"We had a beautiful view of the serene coast. We saw numerous animals just from our window and deck--more from the dining area!! The meals were out of this world--delicious, more than enough, great presentation, variety. We swam daily at the picturesque "private' beach. Ideal location with hiking trails abound! The best trail was to Rio Claro-clear water, hanging ropes, lush surroundings. Most important, Daniel, the manager was ever-present, friendly, giving advice and recommendations to keep...

"We stayed in this hidden gem for 2 nights with another couple. We rented a Superior Villa with a kitchenette and 2 bedrooms but upon arriving we were surprised to see that it was a lot smaller than the photos led us to believe. It would be better for a family then 2 couples as the bedroom with the double bed only had a privacy curtain. Both rooms were open above the door so that the AC which is only in the single beds room, could cool the entire villa. We did not eat there, which is good because...

"Silvia and Ferdinando were excellent hosts. Silvia oriented us to the area and checked on tours. The property is a large garden with pool and outdoor kitchen for guests. The town is small and low key. You can walk to either beach entry. We ordered dinner at our host's Italian restaurant. Ferdinando cooked: it was wonderful. Three great courses. We were off season for whales so will try to come back to Dolce Uvita"

"I loved my stay ay Oro! Clean, the air conditioning was a blessing in the heat! The rooms are a walkup, one short flight of stairs. Super good pizza and salads, 2 blocks away, beside the post office. As happens frequently in Central America, the checkin attendant didn’t spesk English, so just log in to the internet and use Google translate and all will be fine. I recommend!"

"This place is picturesque and has potential, but the staff was inattentive and seemed bothered when we asked for anything. We had to search the grounds for someone to come to check us in. The bartender wasn’t around for at least the first 20 mins of happy hour. We were told a lot of things were not done properly (room cleaning) or not working (hot tub) b/c of electricity issues (to be fair, it is rainy season and there were thunderstorms each night and it sounds like they were working off...

"Juan Carlos is very friendly and helpful took care of us and immediately upon arrival gave us a cold coconut filled with coconut water. Juan gets an A . Rooms slighty sketchy, within walking distance to a few restaurants near the water. Gary from Colorado 07/06/2024"

"This hotel is a wooden cabin which has more of a hostel feel. It is far from Uvita’s centre and it’s hard to get a taxi or food delivery to the hotel. You need to go through a dirt road to get here. The breakfast was scarce and the rice reheated from the day before (I hope). The room felt humid even though the aircon was on. No wifi reached the bedroom. Expensive for the accommodations. Having said that, the grounds and beautiful and staff was kind. "
