"On arrivel the staff were very helpful i needed to use a cpap machine and was upgraded to a suite which was exellent.I had a car but you could walk through the park by the main entrance across the river bridge to a very nice place for drinks and dinner. Food vas very good. All shops are close. Although the main road was close with the patio doors shut i heard no road noise at all. The hotel alos has a function room. I'm from the uk and have been traveling around the north Island for six...

"The hotel had a lovely homely feel to it. The furnishings were generally of days gone by but that all added to the charm of the property. The staff were all friendly and attentive. The area around was full of interesting features, even on a Sunday evening. The Durie Hill Elevator has to be visited."

"The motel was very comfortable, very quiet with a busy road nearby. Very handy to the township and venue i visited during my stay. Place was clean and used towels changed daily. My dislikes was only the tobacco smoke permeating through my open door whilst enjoying the cool whanganui breeze. "
